Personal data at HotelesEnJardin.com: who is responsible, what is collected, why, and how to file a request under Law 1581 of 2012.
You can read every page of HotelesEnJardin.com without creating an account or telling us your name. What follows covers the little data that does pass through here, under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (habeas data) and its regulation, Decree 1377 of 2013, compiled in Decree 1074 of 2015.
Who is responsible for your data
Julián Durango Gallego, resident in Sabaneta, Antioquia, Colombia. Anything about personal data is handled at contacto@juliandurango.com.
What we collect and why
Emails you send us: name, email address and the content of the message. They are used to reply and, when you report a wrong fact, to correct the guide. We do not sell them, send newsletters or pass them to third parties unless an authority requires it.
Server records: Hostinger, our web host, stores technical data for each visit (IP, browser, page requested) for security and operation. We do not cross-reference it to find out who you are.
There are no forms, user sign-ups or audience measurement tools installed by us.
Clicks to Booking.com
When you tap a Booking.com link, the visit first passes through CJ Affiliate and then reaches Booking.com. Both companies log the click with cookies and technical data to attribute the booking and settle the commission; some banners also load a CJ pixel that counts impressions. We only receive totals of clicks and sales, with no names or payment methods. What those companies do with data is governed by the Booking.com and CJ policies.
The cookies involved are described in the cookie policy.
What you can demand
The law lets you know, update and correct your data; request proof of consent; ask what it is used for; withdraw consent or request deletion when there is no legal duty to keep it; consult it at no cost; and go to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) once you have filed the claim with us.
Write to contacto@juliandurango.com with your name and your request. Queries are answered within 10 business days and claims within 15 business days; if an extension is needed, we will let you know before the deadline, as the rules provide.
Retention and other details
Emails are kept while your request is being resolved. Web hosting and email may use servers in other countries, with reasonable security measures. The guide is not meant for minors and we do not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers.
Any change to this policy will be published here with its date. Related: affiliate disclosure, terms and conditions and contact.
